Our Shepherds Huts are Yorkshire made, using FSC timber and insulated using natural sheep’s wool insulation from a local company. The wheels are made from recycled brake discs in a local foundry and the paints are all water based microporous meaning we’re as eco friendly as can be!
At Tiplady Farm we have a small number of locally built, old-fashioned shepherd’s huts set by the side of a stream in a quiet wooded valley. The location is peaceful and the inhabitants, a variety of species, all friendly.
Each hut is cosy and comfortable with its own electricity supply and wood burning stove. We place a strong emphasis on co-existing with nature and protecting the environment but balance that with a common sense approach to practicality.
Our modern toilets and showers benefit from under-floor heating so no matter what the weather, you can start and finish the day in the warm and even enjoy a hot shower in spring water heated by sustainable energy.
Down by the water wheel there is a sheltered cooking and eating area where you can use your own stove, one of our barbeques, a brick rocket stove or even an open fire if you prefer.
Situated in the middle of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and only a mile or so from the small town of Pateley Bridge, Tiplady Farm with its friendly atmosphere, quiet location, traditional farm animals, and luxury shepherds huts offers you a great place to stay for your holiday.
So whether you want to walk, climb, cycle, bring your horse to ride or just chill out, Tiplady Farm looks forward to welcoming you.
"The location is fantastic, I had the best nights sleep I've had for ages!" - C. Critchlow
